Embassy of Vietnam in Netherlands organizes Logistics Matching Seminar

Implementing the diplomatic plan for economic service in 2021, on 28/10/2021, the Embassy of Vietnam in the Netherlands cooperated with the Import-Export Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a face-to-face and online seminar “Netherlands-Vietnam Logistics: Identifying opportunities and connecting partners”. The workshop aims to help Vietnamese agencies, localities and businesses contact, learn experiences and connect with Dutch managers, trainers and businesses on logistics planning, management and training of logistics human resources. This is also an opportunity for the two sides to contact, open up opportunities for cooperation, association and investment in this field.
Participating in the workshop were about 300 delegates including leaders of provinces/cities, departments, departments, enterprises, scholars of Vietnam and Dutch enterprises, domestic press correspondents and Vietnamese resident correspondents in Europe. This is the first time the Embassy has successfully tested and tested a digital live streaming application so that the audience can watch the live stream as well as watch the workshop again later. The live stream on the Embassy’s Facebook platform attracted over 1400 viewers.

Opening the workshop, Ambassador Pham Viet Anh highlighted the strengths of the Netherlands in the field of logistics, the similarities of the two countries as well as the ability of the Netherlands to complement Vietnam in order to highlight the advantages when Vietnam chooses the Netherlands to connect logistics. In addition to the existing strengths that put the Netherlands at the top of the world in logistics efficiency index, the highlight of Dutch solutions is holistic, integrated and synchronous. Dutch solutions aim at harmony, coexistence with nature and protection of the living environment, so it is always sustainable, economical and optimal. In addition, logistics cooperation between the two countries has a favorable foundation from the long-standing good friendship between the Governments, people and businesses of the two countries. All in all, promoting logistics cooperation will bring opportunities and benefits to both countries. The speeches of the Vietnamese speaker highlighted the rapid progress of Vietnam’s logistics, contributing to the development of the economy, and also frankly pointed out Vietnam’s limitations, waiting for the addition from the Netherlands.

The delegates actively participated in the discussion and asked many questions to speakers of the two countries about Vietnam’s logistics master plan, the progress of upgrading Cai Mep – Thi Vai port, experience in logistics operation in the context of epidemics, experience in digital transformation in logistics…
The workshop made proposals on strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands in training and improving technical capacity; development of seaport projects; green logistics, logistics centers to store and distribute Vietnamese products and goods in Europe, build information technology platforms, provide package solutions for customers… The delegates took advantage of connecting contacts with speakers, opening up many channels of exchange and cooperation between localities and Dutch partners./.
